Jaunted in Nakorn Sawan

Jul 21, 2011

The supposed two hour drive from Phitsanulok to Nakorn Sawan to celebrate the long weekend took longer than expected. From what i understand, it took us almost three hours. Worst yet, we were like in a standing ovation mode for couple of minutes because there were no available seats anymore. I was frustrated and had wished the trip never happened.

Things were really getting worst as i was trying to find the best position whilst holding the dog, Jasmine. It was difficult to hold her because there was no space where she can roam freely and she was shifting positions once every 5 or 10 seconds. Seriously, i somewhat regret bringing her.

The frustration left my whole being when from afar, the temple on top of the hill was spotted. It looked very amazing, standing so magnificently before my very eyes. The sign outside before reaching the slopes says "Wat Kiri Wong".

A view of Nakon Sawan from the hill
In all of the temples I've been to in Thailand, i personally like this one. Not only because of the intricate designs and the big Buddha images but because of its favored location with cool breeze. Honestly, i did not sweat and I enjoyed it a lot!

One Damn Hot Flower

Apr 2, 2011

I like the simplicity of this flower. Its red petals with the white and green pollen grains. I would admit i was mesmerized with its beauty and color. It just seems so perfect a flower to me. This should be growing in beautifully decorated pots to make it more attractive and not on a vacant lot near the road.

Yes, it grows on a vacant lot near the road. And you know what is more sadder? It is also close to the garbage drums that waste managers get thrice every week. The drum stinks and it takes a whole lot of power to get near them lol.

The good thing about it though it grows close to the putrid garbage drums, is it literally beautifies the small spot where it grows. And if you are driving and you get to see this pretty damn hot flower, it will require a second look to verify if you just saw what you saw! One damn hottie, eh?

It simply felt amazing

Feb 9, 2011

We were told after breakfast that we will be visiting one of the famous waterfalls in Nakon Nayok. I readied myself and the camera for i know nature will be waiting for the flickering of flashes. I charged the battery for a few minutes and hurried for the most comfortable seat on the bus.

Both pics looked the same, but take a closer look :)
We circled looking for it that took 15 more minutes of our precious time. I got confused and impatient so i asked a friend who speak Thai. She told me that our driver was not familiar with place and was having trouble locating where the waterfall was.

When we arrived at the location, i was mesmerized by the thunder sound of the falling and running water. Honestly, It took my breath away and removed all my exasperation. I went down into ladder like thing and touched its cool water. You know what? It simply felt amazing.

Fast Car

Jan 23, 2011

I remember when were driving - driving in your car. The speed so fast I felt like I was drunk. City lights lay out before us and your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder - and I had a feeling that I belonged. I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone.

Tracy Chapman is that you? No, this is just me singing her song "Fast Car". Why am i singing her song? Hmm, I visited my sister in Petchabun last year and this car on the road perfectly fits the title. There were quite a few number of them passing on the other side of the lane but not so much on the lane where i was standing.

The first photo of the road with the overpass was still and calm. Then, i pressed the shutter again. When i checked all the captured photos, I was surprised to see a car on my second shot. I didn't notice its coming - thinking it was on the other side of the lane. As you can see on the second one, it was running so fast it made itself having a comet like appearance. For me, it just seemed to have a tail. Your thoughts?

A visit to the Grand Palace

Jan 20, 2011

The Grand Palace in Bangkok is just one of the many tourist spots in the city and to the entire kingdom of Thailand. The temples inside are like gold, shimmering from the ground and up to the sky. Each one has its own distinct features.

No shorts are allowed for men or sleeveless blouses for women. Even tourists are of no exception. Temples are sacred for Thai people and not following so would mean disrespect.

There are several tourists of different nationalities wanting to witness the magnificent Thai architectural style. They were probably there because we shared the same feeling. A shared admiration to its beauty and the priceless experience being there.
